1. About CampusEats

CampusEats is a campus marketplace platform operated from Kano, Nigeria, connecting students with verified on-campus vendors. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide your real full name, a valid email address, your university, your student ID, and a valid phone number.
• One account per student. Sharing accounts is prohibited.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• CampusEats reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

3. How Ordering Works

• Browse products from vendors at your registered university.
• Add items to your cart and proceed to checkout.
• Select a meeting point from the options provided for your university.
• Transfer the exact amount shown to the CampusEats Moniepoint account (5130307778 — Campuseats Technologies).
• Upload your payment receipt and enter your transaction reference.
• CampusEats admin will verify your payment. Once confirmed, your vendor will prepare your order.
• Collect your order at the chosen meeting point at the time set by your vendor.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

• You may cancel a pending order before the vendor begins preparation.
• Once an order is confirmed and preparing, cancellations are at the vendor's discretion.
• Refund policy: If you request a refund, CampusEats retains a processing fee:
  • Orders under ₦5,000 — 10% processing fee retained
  • Orders ₦5,000 and above — flat ₦500 processing fee retained
• Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days via bank transfer.
• CampusEats is not liable for refund delays caused by banking system issues.

5. Meeting Points & Transport

• All orders are fulfilled at designated meeting points on campus.
• A transport fee may apply depending on the meeting point you select. This fee is shown before payment.
• CampusEats is not liable for any transport-related issues, including delays, lost items, or disputes arising from the physical handover.
• You must be present at the meeting point at the time specified by the vendor. Failure to collect may result in order cancellation without refund.

6. Acceptable Use

• Do not attempt to manipulate the platform, impersonate others, or submit fraudulent payment proofs.
• Do not use the platform for any illegal transactions.
• Do not post offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content in any part of the platform.
• Violations may result in immediate account suspension and referral to university authorities.

7. Data Privacy (NDPR Compliance)

CampusEats operates in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019 and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.

• Data we collect: Full name, email address, phone number, student ID, university, order history, payment references.
• Why we collect it: To process orders, verify identity, prevent fraud, and improve the platform.
• Who sees your data: CampusEats admin and your selected vendor (order details only — not your phone number or student ID).
• Data retention: Your data is retained for as long as your account is active plus 12 months after deletion.
• Your rights: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting campus.eatsx@gmail.com.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.

8. Limitation of Liability

• CampusEats is a marketplace platform and is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of products listed by vendors.
• CampusEats is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of the platform.
• Our maximum liability to you in any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order in dispute.

9. Changes to These Terms

CampusEats reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
